Yield: 7 to 8 dozen cookies.
- Cream together shortening, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla in large mixing bowl.
- Beat eggs in separate bowl and add to mixture.
- Mix together flour, baking soda and salt in separate bowl and gradually add to wet mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 minutes at 325 degrees or until barely brown.
