Walt Disney World Resort Continues...

As Disneyland® marks its 50th anniversary, the Walt Disney World® Resort has joined in on The Happiest Celebration On Earth by importing a collection of incredible new attractions to commemorate 50 years of Disney theme parks.

Each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks features a blockbuster attraction imported from around the globe. From Tokyo, Paris, California and Hong Kong, Walt Disney World now gives guests a chance to sample Disney magic from all over the world.

At Magic Kingdom® Park, guests can see Cinderellabration, an enchanting musical spectacular direct from Tokyo Disneyland Park. Performed on the castle stage, Cinderellabration continues the happily-ever-after story featuring a host of favorite characters that bring to life the coronation of this popular Disney princess.

Soarin’TM, one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s California Adventure® park, now also provides Epcot® guests the chance to go on a thrilling hang-gliding journey over the Golden State. The flight ends with an aerial view of Disneyland®, allowing guests the chance to pay tribute to the West Coast heritage of Disney theme parks. Also at Epcot, guests can get a sneak peek at the beginning of the next 50 years of Disney theme parks at the Hong Kong Resort Disneyland preview center.

Direct from Walt Disney Studios Paris, the Lights, Motors, ActionTM! Extreme Stunt Show features the bombastic best of the movie industry’s stunt masters at Disney-MGM Studios. This fast-paced and high-energy stunt show sends cars, motorcycles and jet skis careening across the studio’s backlot, giving the audience of 5,000 seated in a custom-built grandstand a behind-the-scenes look at movie mayhem.

Lucky the Dinosaur, the first-ever free-roaming Audio-Animatronics® creation, now walks the streets of Dinoland, U.S.A.®, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® theme park, where he greets guests and even signs autographs. This startlingly lifelike creature was named one of the top inventions by Time magazine and represents the next step forward in Audio-Animatronics technology.

Later in the celebration year, Walt Disney World will present a new adventure of its own with the opening of Expedition EverestTM—Legend of the Forbidden Mountain in the Asia area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The legend of the Yeti will come to life in a dramatic high-speed train adventure that combines coaster-style thrills with the excitement of a close encounter with the Abominable Snowman.

Disney Cruise Line® is joining in on the celebration as well. The Golden Mickeys is a fun-filled celebration of the musical legacy of Walt Disney Studios. This new character-filled, musical review uses all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood awards show to honor the wonderful animated films and characters that have filled our lives for over 75 years. The Golden Mickeys is the newest performance in the line-up of original Disney musicals aboard the Disney Wonder® and Disney Magic®.

This golden anniversary celebration gives Walt Disney World the chance to showcase Disney magic from three different continents as it joins in the excitement of The Happiest Celebration On Earth.
