Getting familiar with either London or Paris, two of the greatest cities in the world, requires parking your suitcase in one hotel for the duration and getting out to see as much as you can. Here are several useful tour products that will help you get the most out of your stay:

  • Public transit. Riding the Tube in London or the Metro in Paris is the fastest, least expensive way to get around either city, and it’s easy once you master the basics. London Pass and Paris Visite cards give you unlimited access to buses and subways in their respective cities. You’ll save a lot of money and be able to zoom around and see everything you came to see.
  • London Pass. Gives you preferred front-of-line access to more than 70 attractions and museums.
  • Paris Museum Pass. Offers unlimited visits to 70 museums and monuments with priority, “no waiting” admission to permanent collections.
  • Original London Sightseeing Tour. Lets you hop on/hop off six different double-decker tour bus routes with guided commentary.
  • London City Cruises. This hop-on/hop-off ticket takes you on a luxury river liner on the Thames.
  • Paris Dinner Cruise. Enjoy dinner, live music and sightseeing along the Seine.
  • York Pass. Provides admission to more than 30 attractions in this historic city.
  • Half-day or full-day tours in London and nearby. Take an evening tour of Jack the Ripper’s haunts or a full-day tour to Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury. Or choose a medieval banquet in London or afternoon cream tea at Leeds Castle. Spend a royal afternoon at Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Gardens or make a literary/scholarly day with a tour combining Shakespeare’s Stratford-on-Avon, Oxford and Warwick Castle.
  • Daytrips or Overnighters to Edinburgh or Paris from London. See the capital of Scotland or zoom under the Channel via the Eurostar train to spend a day in Paris during your London vacation. Day-trip tours are available with tours (guided or unescorted) and free time. Pack just a small bag for overnighters to both Edinburgh and Paris and have more time to see these cities.
  • Airport-to-city center transportation. Whether you fly into London’s Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted airports, there is a fast train direct from the airport to the city center, which saves you time and costs much less than a taxi. From Paris’ Charles de Gaulle, you can use your Paris Visite card to get into the heart of Paris quickly.
