Dues Increase Slated for Sept. 1, 2010
The Board of Directors and management of AAA Northampton County fight to provide optimal service at the lowest possible cost. And while operational costs of the club have been rising, productivity and efficiency have been as well—so we have been able to postpone increasing dues until now.
Hence, the Board of Directors voted that effective Sept. 1, 2010, all memberships expiring on or after that date will be priced as follows:
Primary Basic—$46
Associate Basic—$29
Primary Plus—$76
Associate Plus—$47
The solitary exception to this dues increase will be memberships that exceed 50 years' duration.
Local High School Students Get Involved
| Bangor High School students are interviewed about their efforts on behalf of SADD.. |
On March 26, 2010, AAA Northampton County sponsored students from five local high schools to attend the Lehigh Valley Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) conference, which was greeted by a packed house at the Lehigh Valley Hospital auditorium.
This year's conference reflected an American Idol theme, complete with judges and audience participation in voting. Students displayed their own safe-driving videos and Facebook pages, and reported on various SADD activities planned for 2010.
There was additional discussion about how social media can help get the message out, with an exchange of ideas on how to use it most effectively.
